Unique Product Design
I think these are genius little designs! Apples and cores, you can't have one without the other, and making the core part of the experience is so sweet! I can picture them in a boutique cafe somewhere, so simple and quirky. You can find these and other examples of innovative product design at this site.

Blast from the past
Two posts in one day, you can tell i am taking advantage of a quiet day at work!
I stumbled on these pictures at this site a few days ago and thought they were great! These are just a few examples. They were found in an alley beside some bins in L.A. I love this candid look into the past, the fashions were awesome and having not been born until the 80's, this is something I'd never have experienced! It looks like a fun, slightly informal wedding, full of characters.
I just wonder what happened to this couple, hopefully they are still happily together (although wedding pictures near the garbage doesn't bode well)...
Courgette, blue cheese and pea frittata
Hello folks! I tried this recipe from delicious out last week and have just got time to upload the info now. It was a very simple, tasty and satisfying vegetarian option. I am trying to cut down on my meat intake for a few reasons, mainly financial at the moment! Saving for lots of traveling so i can't complain! This is one of the veggie meals I have tried and tested and its definately going into my recipe book for keeps.
Ingredients:
350g new potatoes, halved if large
2tbsp olive oil
1 onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, chopped
2 courgettes, thinly sliced
6 large free-range eggs
100g cooked frozen peas
100g blue cheese
Method:
1. Cook the potatoes in a pan of salted, boiling water for about 15 mins. Drain and, when cool, thinly slice. Then heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a frying pan, add the onion and garlic and cook for 3-4 minutes, then add the courgettes, cook for a further 3-4 minutes, until golden.
2. Preheat the grill to High. Beat the eggs in a large bowl and stir in the potatoes, courgette mixture, cooked peas and blue cheese. Season to taste. Add the mixture to an oiled frying pan and cook on a medium heat, on the hob, for about 5 minutes, until almost set.
3. Place the Frittata under the hot grill for 5 minutes or until golden and set. Cut into wedges and serve alone or with a crisp green salad.
Enjoy!!
